A Friends of Lulu Retailer Handbook
Edited by Deni Loubert

How to Get Girls (Into Your Store) is a handbook for comic book retailers who want to expand their market base to include women and girls. Along with an inspiring introduction by Neil Gaiman, the book includes helpful hints for attracting and keeping new customers, as well as tips for choosing products that appeal to women and children, presenting comics and other products, working within your community to build good relationships, and retailer networking. Also included are the results of Friends of Lulu's 1997 survey of women comics readers and listings of retailer organizations and publishers.

How to Get Girls (Into Your Store) is sold out, but you can download the full text here. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.

Please note that book titles and contact information listed in the Handbook were current as of the original publication date (1997) and may have changed.
